I am interested in finding out any information any information about my PARRY family.
My Taid was born Thomas Thomas PARRY in 1886 but sometime later was always known as Thomas Ellis PARRY – I don’t know why or when the name changed.
His father was also Thomas Thomas PARRY and they moved from Brynrefail in the 1900s, his father was manager at Tyn y Weirglodd quarry and lived in the house there until at least 1939.
Taid moved around more, went to sea briefly, lived in South Wales where he was a grocer then married in Nottingham in 1930 and lived in Bethesda before moving to Tyn y Weirglodd in the 1950s or 1960s.
He played the trombone.
