Hi There,
My name is Jamie Barwick and I am currently a student at the University of
Wales, Aberystwyth. I am attempting to search for a
person who once lived
(and may possibly still live), in the area that your
nantlle.com website covers. This
person is Wenna Jones, who approximately 25 years ago
lived at Garth Dorwen,
Penygroes, which is a farm I believe.
I think it is best if
I explain why I am looking for her. I am 22 and
originally from Norwich, Norfolk. I came to Wales in
2003 to study and am
currently still here. I have a long-time friend, Pia
Euteneuer, who is
German and lives in Koblenz, the Rhineland-Platza.
I recently went to visit
her and was taken out for a meal with her parents.
Her mother, Elizabeth (I
am not sure what her maiden name was), was very interested
in where I lived
in Wales, and with our broken language skills I managed
to discover that she
had once lived in Penygroes with a Wenna Jones while
she was a youngster and
travelling. They had then written letters to each other
for quite a while
but this had eventually phased out.
She would now, however,
very much like to find her again but feels that with
her limited English and no Welsh skills this would
prove near impossible.
Therefore, I volunteered to help out, and hence why
I am writing to you. I
was wondering if you had any knowledge of either Wenna
Jones, or the farm
Garth Dorwen in Penygroes, or indeed if you knew of
anyone who may?
Any help would be very
much appreciated.
Kind Regards,
Jamie Barwick.
